About us From the editor
Ideally, we would like everyone who picks up
an issue of Spree to read it cover to cover. But
what if I had to choose just a few articles—
other than our must-see dining feature—that it

you’ve gotta have a gimmick, and that gimmick generally
involves wearing something ridiculous on your head. (from
“Sounds,” page 36)
Don’t sit around and mope; bundle up, get out, and confront it. Address February head on. (From Wild WNY, page 25)
Getting back to our feature, in some ways it’s regrettable—
though useful to readers—to bundle so many different types of
eateries and cuisines under a heading like Cheap Eats. Great
Food would be more appropriate, because, regardless of price,
many of these venues are offering some of the most exciting
food you can find in Western New York. Don’t let the New Year
get much older before you try them.
I hope we’ve helped you get the most of out of this short
